Being inactive when the pastel forum is undergoing another great migration? Not going to happen. Sorry I'm late everyone, had I been here a week ago I'd have set up a server the first thing I did when I saw the thread. It seems things are working themselves out anyway, but I'll defenitely try to stick around for a while. Hopefully we don't suffer any losses this time around.

Edit: and should things take a turn for the worse, I'd be more than happy to shoulder the hosting. I've still got a redundant amount of free time and decent amounts of currency to sink into something like this.

Wow, this is a sad day indeed. I didn't think it would end this way, that's for sure. Still, it heartens me to hear that we are already making plans to go on. This might be the end of the pastel forum as we know it, but I hope it won't be the end of the community. I wouldn't know much about this whole forum lark, so I'm afraid I can't be much help in that direction. However, I'd love to to stay part of this forum, so I'll keep my eyes on this thread, and hopefully I'll see all you folks around.

Before that, there's the question of the PCG. It looks like this may be the end of it, what with the closing of the forums, and all. I'm determined that that shall not be the case. I'll finish this, even if I have to do it all myself. Hopefully, there's still some enthusiasm around for it; it would be a horrible shame to give up after coming this far.

Well, as far as we can tell, it looks like the community is once again getting away with a domain change, so I don't see how the PCG will be impaired. Also, I still have that server laying around, and since AK is looking to be our new host I won't have to re-purpose it's budget for forum hosting. Hopefully, trying to set it up won't leave me stuck at a detail, frustrate me over my ability to deliver the services I've promised and end up making me drive myself away from the forum like it did the last two times. That's largely why I've been gone, by the way.

There's another issue, though. Since the forums will now be a user-hosted community as opposed to the official medium for discussion on Mateusz' works- we're headed into the deep web. With nothing linking here, the inflow of members won't just be minimal, it will be none whatsoever. This is not an immediate problem, but the long-term implication is rather obvious, I believe.
