We have seen only "temple-like" locations so far. I wonder, what is hidden inside these structures. Something very important for subuniverse.

I'm not very satisfied if Submachine 9's ambience is only those Layer 5-like textures.

Don't worry, like in Sub7 the darkest part comes later, I don't mind Sub9 will be like Sub0 or Sub32.

BTW: I think Mateusz will reutilize the ambient of the Layer 5 in Sub8 for the first section of this one, as he used Sub1 ending ambient in Sub2 begining, and the same Lab and Lucky Room ambients of Sub4 in Sub5.

Yeah, but we don't know if something happens with our old items, like what happened in Sub6. The 2 teasers Mateusz shown to us are Layer 5-like. If Mateusz shows to us an image of another layer then its true that we still have the navigator.

But we can still use the Navigator in the location of the Temple.
I know this because when you play Submachine 8, after you click on the space behind the open light doors and the location shifts, if you don't click on the entrance to the Temple, but instead bring up the Navigator in your inventory, and go to another layer, you can.

But then again, when you go back to layer 5, you end up at location in layer 5 before the entrance of the Temple.

I believe thats just part of the engine of the game, nothing plotwise. Actualy when we are in the entrance to the Temple we are not supposed to use items.

Well, I think the Water Pantheon may likely be a part of the temple (even the soundtrack's name says temple), so it's not strange that the temple shares its general colourscheme and ambience.

I would have preferred more variety too, but surely Mateusz had that in mind even before Sub8, so it's probably gonna be fine.

But we never can be sure. Mateusz is realy good at surprising us:

Before Sub1 release everyone expected that Submachine doesn't exist.
Before Sub2 release everyone expected that the lighthouse was normal lighthouse in the coast.
Before Sub3 release everyone expected that they ended inside a computer.
Before Sub4 release everyone expected that lab was going to be full of scientists and lab equipment.
Before Sub5 release everyone expected that the player was going to work inside the lab.
Before Sub6 release everyone expected about a defense system with cannons and missiles.
Before Sub7 release everyone expected it was going to be full of Hi-Tech machines.
Before Sub8 release everyone expected that the player would be already in the Layer 5.
