I too think both. Player got teleported there while unconscious.

Re: Submachine 1: the Basement
I think its because when Mateusz started the Series, he thought of having the Present of the Submachine. All those noise could be found in Machines.
But I think when the Player left the Lighthouse, he wasn't in A machine, he was still in the Submachine, but more out in the Open.

Re: Submachine 1: the Basement
The Basement is where we might've ended up after Mur used us the first time, maybe we should've gone to the Basement after The Edge?
We didn't just "spawn" there...It's not like we jumped off the cliffs or something.

Maybe this is where we end up after Sub 10 losing our memory stuck in an ITL

Mateusz said that submachine was originally a one game project until people wanted a squeal.I think its because when Mateusz started the Series, he thought of having the Present of the Submachine.
Balance is imperative; without it, total collapse and destruction is imminent.

Re: Submachine 1: the Basement
Yeah I know.
What I mean is when the second game came out, we knew only little about the actual sizes of the situation we were in.
So by the beginning of Sub2, and the end of Sub3, all we knew about for sure was the Submachine.
And that was known because of the sounds we heard.

Re: Submachine 1: the Basement
I bet Player didn't lose his memory before events of Sub1. He ALREADY KNEW about many things in Submachine. So by the beginning of Sub2, and the end of Sub3, all we knew about for sure was the Submachine
So what did happen? The Basement is where we might've ended up after Mur used us the first time, maybe we should've gone to the Basement after The Edge?
