Well, it's their loss really.
On second thought, maybe someone wanted to make a one-time donation to Mateusz of ~50 $ and they couldn't afford it for more than a month. I think that's a legitimate thing to do, but it may lead Mateusz to confusion thinking he has a certain amount of money guaranteed per month when it's really less.
What they could do is put up a comment or something to clarify that they could/would only support it for a month, like Death Road did. That way Mateusz would already expect it, and there'd be no trouble like this.

Seeing the hundreds place change from 4 to 3 was disconcerting. Does that mean Subnet expansion won't happen yet?
That's the first setback I've seen, I didn't even think to think about how people can withdraw their pledge.
