Well logically; yes. But by not having it like that you draw the eye to the moon, giving a nice atmosphere of being lit up by moonlight.
But those are some pretty nice images, they're nice and clean. I'd like to see how you draw the interiors of the buildings.

I like the one with the ruin in the swampland area. That looks really atmospheric and mystical. I can just imagine it in a Sub game.

Ok,here are two of my early drawings in colour.
(note: I originally intended to draw them in the same style as submachine,but I decided to leave the background unfinished.)
EDIT:I mean my first drawings in colour (I've been doing greyscale stuff for a long time).
