<Let's continue!>
this probably wont work, but
command: use the knife to carve a square hole into the wooden stake and the use that to unscrew and square bolts
Yes, you are right.
It won’t work.
:P
command: use the knife
Also, Mr. Stick wonders why noone thought to examine KNIFE itself for some secret mechanisms or secrets so far.

Image
See if the clock actually works.
No, CLOCK doesn’t work. It is stopped.

Image

But Mr. Stick can freely move clock arrows! However, he doesn’t know what sense in this action…
Room names ideas:

Pedestal Room
Clock Room
Cache Room
Box Room
Mr. Stick says you “thank you”! Now we have room names, and it will help us in our way to freedom!
But mr. Stick thinks “BOX ROOM“ isn’t perfect name for room, because… well, you remember… he destroyed the box… :(
So… You don’t mind if we will call this room “CHEST ROOM”, ok? :)

Image

Good!

< Feel free to write room name when it needs, when you want to ask Steve to do something. :)>
try to use the small wooden stacke in hole in the ladder between the Cache Room and the Box Room
As Mr. Stick remembers, that hole is wider than wooden stake, so Steve decides to not go there.
Or do you insist?
Place the red marble in the pedestal
Hmmm, strange idea…
Small red ball plus pedestal? Mr. Stick doesn’t see sense…
OK. Maybe it has sense. But… Mr. Stick asks: why?

Image

Why you think this action will lead to good results?

Image

Oh… WOW…

Image

Yes! Mr. Stick remembers!

Image

He understands now! THAT IS AWESOME!
Mr. Stick without any more useless compliments runs to PEDESTAL ROOM, and drops red ball in pedestal.

Image

The ball starts to slowly roll on round surface of pedestal, with faint sound, spreading on room, softly breaking the silence… and when the ball stops in the middle-bottom, some mechanism starts to work: ball descends in pedestal, disappearing, and at the same time on pedestal’s exterior, at the bottom, small cache opens, and some item falls on the floor.

Image

Mr. Stick stoops and views item. It look like…

a clock arrow?

Pick it up and try to use it on the clock
Balance is imperative; without it, total collapse and destruction is imminent.

I think we have to put the all the clock arrows in right position, so an item falls from the clock.
Come on Sublevel, I know you taked that puzzle from Synapsis 1!

Once you put the arrow in the clock put the arrows at 4:13:10, if that doesn't work, put them at 8:13:10.

Ok. Mr. Stick examines knife and clock arrow.

Image

Image

...

Nothing interesting. Just simple knife and clock arrow, without any secret mechanisms or stuff. :P

But Mr. Stick doesn't think it was waste of time. Do you?
Pick it up and try to use it on the clock
Mr. Stick grabs clock arrow, returns to clock and inserts it, in center mechanism, adding third arrow to clock.

Image

What now?
that puzzle from Synapsis 1!
Hmm... Yeah, Mr. Stick played that game (he already mentioned this before), and yes, he thinks if we will put correct time in stopped clock, it would lead to some good results!
Once you put the arrow in the clock put the arrows at 4:13:10, if that doesn't work, put them at 8:13:10.
Mr. Stick checks both times, but nothing happens.

Image

Also, he is interested, why did he put these particular times? Why 13 minutes or 10 seconds?

< @Enihc: not really. :D
I played a lot of games where this time puzzle figures. Not only Synapsis.
When I suddenly decided to add this puzzle to story, I didn't remember about Synapsis or some another game. It just came from deeps of my mind. It was not planned. :) >

I know where are is the clue:
Image

º=Hours
´=Minutes
"=Seconds

Below º there are 4 lines or 8 directions.
Below ´ there is that rune from Sub3, whichs is the 13th acording to the wiki.
Below " there is a kind of crustacean, with 10 legs.

Maybe I'm wrong, maybe thats part of an angle puzzle maybe. Other strange symbols includes:

-S- with key
Spiral and rectangle.
I, S, 2 and 4
G7

EDIT: Try to use knife to unscrew the big plate in the bottom right corner.

No. Knife will not cope with bolts that hold metal plate.
