Show inventory, because we are so lazy.

If there are any objects other than the crystal, papers or just stuff like screwdrivers take a closer look at them.

You take a look at your inventory:

You see that the only things that aren't tools that you haven't examined are the grey tetrahedron and the grey box from the portal area.
You look at the tetrahedron:

You still don't understand what it does.
Next you take a look at the grey box:

You see some small dark grey marks on it.

Align the red thingy from earlier's marks to those grooves and press.
Hit the button if nothing happens.

Hit the button if nothing happens.
You put the red thing on the part of the box with the markings and it instantly sticks as if it were magnetic.

Nothing else happens, so you push the red button;

and the box opens.

View all the contents of the Box. Keep the box.
It may help later.

Taking out the contents of the box, you find a speaker cube, 2 dark cubes and 2 photographs.
You keep the box.

You don't bother examining the dark cubes, since you know that they're the kind that fit into the cube reader.
You look at the first photograph:

On the bottom left, you see it reads "*The first portal".
You also look at the second photograph:

You see someone has written stuff in blue ink.
You play the speaker cube and it says:
"No one knew where it came from. It was a large meteorite that crashed in an uninhabited region of the planet. Later when we sent scientist to examine it, instead of finding the usual lump of metals, they found something much stranger, a giant cubic formation of unknown white substance. As we found out, it wasn't natural. No, it was proof that there were beings infinitely more powerful than us."
Taruka: So it was a meteorite, hmm...
