Submachine 10 and beyond Theories and Suggestions
Re: Submachine 10 Theories and Suggestions
But do we know that? There are many connection points between the Core and the Outer Rim (wiq, the brick door, etc.) so the mutations could have spread to certain parts of the Core/S9 locations.

Well, I don't know about Layer 5 specifically, however, we've already seen at least two religions that actually existed within Subnet. The one which venerates Mur and Liz as these prophet like figures, imbued with the powers of Shiva.Sublevel 102 wrote:I hope these Layer 5 cult inhabitants aren't like our humans from Earth. Thousands conflicting with each other religions.
There is another religion that extols Liz (presumably) as a goddess because of her interaction with their holy places (beacon). These are definitely different, since Liz was more secondary to Mur, definitely not a goddess is the other.

Re: Submachine 10 Theories and Suggestions
that village in Layer 7. Right.
I wonder did exploration teams, Company and others organize its religion about Murtaugh?
Another question: I think these men in Layer 7 didn't know anything about Liz and Mur. Just some Goddess and *untranslated term* as holy place(?).
But these guys... from Layer 5... know(?) everything we saw and what we didn't saw before! Exploration teams, Einstein the cat, Mur's and Liz's past, submachine guns and bullets, eight Layers of reality...
And this mysterious Shiva guy...

Well to your first question: definitely! I mean they've built a whole hug pyramid in a knot, this perfect very special region of the Core. That is super telling of just how important the religion is. There are even canonical titles from Mur and Liz inscribed on their graves. Very much an organized religion.Sublevel 102 wrote:that village in Layer 7. Right.

Secondly, sure. I am sure they don't, I just meant that the goddess is probably actually Liz, even though they don't know who she is. I only added that last part, since it is rather conclusive proof of the difference.

I meant that first subnet exploration teams, lab workers and mysterious company. They and Temple Cult still can be different "organizations"Well to your first question: definitely! Re: Submachine 10 Theories and Suggestions
I think the 2 guys that keep appearing in notes are the former Basement Exploration Team, since it was the only exploration team that was left alive. (Tomb Exploration Team died by thirst in 32 Chambers, Ship Exploration Team died by explosion while attempting to reach the upper deck of the ship, Ancient Section Exploration Team died after falling through the broken ladder in the void.)

Re: Submachine 10 Theories and Suggestions
I thought the broken ladder was to signify where the explorer was "attacked" by a sub-bot. He was on the ladder and the sub-bot attacked him, causing the ladder to break.
Re: Submachine 10 Theories and Suggestions
Maybe they were all on the part that broke off O_O
