They look more detailed than sketchy in my opinion.
Am I the only one who is reminded of sub2 when I look at the most recent teaser image?

I can't see whats is on the window, it looks dark grey and there is some kind of line.
I think I have a theory about Sub9 locations, but I think I have to wait for other screenshots, if any.

Forumers discuss about sketchy style since Sub7, when that stolen screenshotes were revealed.
I don't see bad in sketchy style. These locations are totally different from basement locations.
And they still transmit perfect atmosphere of subs. :D

I am fine with the style that Mateusz developed now.
If you think about it, that sketchy earthy style helped Mateusz to expand the Submachine Network and rip the entire series out of the usual boxy environments. This method was famously realized in Sub_Universe and more popularly in Sub_7. No longer do the environments need to be limited to the within-the-box perspective, but can now be tailor-made to any kind of structures (which is already perfect for Submachine series that already has several surreal locations).
The seeds were already planted in Sub_4 and 5, if you want to go back further
