I didn't really consider that as violence. They are cartoons, they are indestructible, they can warp reality as they wish, so that allows for much more... expressive situations, hahah.
Another thing is if they really had the intention of killing each other psychopatically (does that word even exist? lol), but that's not the case
On the other hand, I've never liked The Simpsons and related.
...
(ok, you can kill me XD)
EDIT:
And I hate a lot of modern shit (you probably could kill me for my words). South park, for example. :/
yeah, same for me... that kind of fun is just not my style.

You know braking monkeys glass "skull" and beating his brain is violent. Also in many cartoons characters aren't looking like they are bitten. Here you see, that they are really breaking their legs, or have black eyes.

Powerpuff Girls.
I like the "new" cartoons (even though South Park is from 1997, not sure if it counts as "new" any more), but I guess that is just from Danish humour, which is basically what happens in those.
I absolutely DESPISE "learning" cartoons though. The worst thing is random pauses every 5 seconds to ask if "you can see it?". Then an awkward pause which lasts like 10 seconds. It makes me want to punch a dolphin in the mouth.

Violance in T&J is silly and "cartoonish". But I liked it after all. Even though I was always hoping that Tom will win. It was still funny, after all. Even if Tom was crying it was always looking silly, and sometimes they were even friendly, to each other. In Powerpuff Girls It was looking, like they can really kill their anemies. And that isn't funny, even if you are five-year old.

Oh god no, THOSE!! XDD
I doubt even 2-year-olds like that... they treat kids like idiots...

When I very small I thought that they are silly. Now I think they are totally dumb. Like:
(I was watching it around seven o'clock n the morning, before going to school, with nothing better to do, as ten years old)
Dumb Boy From TV - Oh, I'm n the baloon, I need to fly higher, or I'll crash, on this stone! What should I do?
Me - Throw away bags with sand, quick!
DBFTV - You're right! I need to wistle music, from the lowest, to the highest!
Me - No, you are going to die moron!
DBFTV - Yes, it worked!
Me - Fuck you!

oh no...
I am lucky because I found them only one-two years ago. I never saw them when I was small, and IT IS GOOD.
If you want to know: recently I have found EVERY CARTOON that I watched in childhood, lol and I so want to watch them again, but I haven't a time. :(

On the subject of cartoons, i cant really say i can remember very much of them from when i was a kid.
All i can remember is a whole bunch of simpsons episodes being repeated over and over.
I was like 9 when i watched the full length movie:
The castle of Caglieostro by Studio Ghibli
MY PERCEPTION OF CARTOONS* CHANGED FOREVER.
I learnt that cartoons could be used as a method of entertainment without relying on slapstick comedy.
Just because a movie is animated does not mean it is for kids.
Which, looking back, was a rather odd conclusion for my child self, considering that i was a kid then.
@powerpuff girls topic:
Sorry never saw it.
@south park topic:
I dont agree. Not fully atleast.
I mean yes, the humour is most certainly not what... other cartoons have but its still funny though?
*Yes, i am fully aware that Castle of Caglieostro was anime, but that that age i barely knew the difference.
