Welcome!
what do you think of Sub_5 notes system, then?
SoLost already explained.
I don't know if a built-in notepad would be any better than keeping actual handwritten notes. You clear your cache once and you have to start over anyway. I keep a real life notepad by my computer to keep my game notes in, some of which date back years to now-defunct online riddles.
Yeah, I don't see why it is absolutely necessary to have a built-in notepad. It's not something that has to happen.

Hey, guys. Thanks for the Welcome!
The note system is sub 5 is an exception. It was a trade off. Yeah, I felt like a lazy player knowing the scratching sound of a pencil meant a new bit of information had been recorded for me. But with all the cipher plate locations and the teleporter locations, it would have been confusing to the point of absolute frustration without them. The note system in sub 5 took away the tedium, but it didn't take away from the gameplay.
In SNEE, I think there might be too much information for a built-in notepad. Just look at the size of the wiki. I like following the clues as I run across them and getting lost in the subnet.

Not unless you have a system of information.
Mateusz could program a built system where you would write down the coordinates of the places you been, then you could click on them for the information it had.
But it would help to have it divided into like the system of this forum. I know someone posted something because the subject is highlighted. But not like that, but there would be a top section where a new clue is posted, then when we figure out the clue and head for the location, it would cross it out and put it in the bottom section which is where the "I've already been there" stuff could go.
But if the note system is not going to happen, then at least allow to the take the note with us. Not the theories, just the ones that are actually posted in the Note section of the Submachine wiki for SNEE.

He did actually.
Sub8.
This...
Transcript 17/38
Liz: You can create dimensional portals while being inside such a portal?
Murtaugh: Yes, I can.
Liz: And when you do, what happens then?
Murtaugh: ...you change direction.
Liz: Direction of what?
Murtaugh: Of everything.
He may not have shown the actual portal...
but the gold still came.
Wait a minute, if the Player had to open the door though that process Sub8 is all about....
Where is Mur?
If he was going after the others and its clear he would have to do the exact same thing as we did because his Karma Portal failed to penetrate the 5th Layer.
Is he using us again?
If not, why is everything needed to open the Gate to the Temple not done when we get to the Escape Pod?
Because if he is ahead of us, the Gate to the Temple in Layer 5 would be open.
I wonder....

All right I have to say it otherwise I'll go mad by the fact only I know this.
Is the Submachine really nothing at all.
That it was created by everyone on Earth trying to Define and create an understanding of the Universe.
All the notes in the Subnet, even though 3/4 are not even Murs, but they still are in that same existences within the non-existing world.
Are all those Ideas, Thoughts, Theories, Scribbles are the Actual Submachine itself.
That it just first started out with its location shape by people here on Earth trying to create an understanding or at least define a faction of the Universe.
But then it because this actual physical structure that even right this second is really nothing in the face of existence in the Universe, not a single Atom is actually here.
Then the Loop was the result of people stepping into this Mystery and then trying to Define what it is.
Start at the Beginning, finish at the End. Start at the Beginning, finish at the End.
Looping and Looping and LOOPING within its construct to which I shouldn't even be standing on!
How is it that this place can exist and not exist at the same time?
I use to know how, it was so simple.
But now my feeble mind broke under the intensity of this answer and FORGOT EVERYTHING THAT MADE SENSES!
I AM NOTHING WITHOUT WHAT MAKES SENSES!
THE ANSWER WAS WRITTEN IN THE BLACK DOSSIER THAT BELONG TO MY DECEASED!
THEN WHY HAS THAT FRACTION OF THIS WORLD LEFT ME TOO?!
All those Ideas...
All those Thoughts...
All those Theories...
All those Scribbles...
Is it the Submachine itself?
Then how can it be gone?
It could exist and erase itself at the same time.
The ultimate balances, the only one at that, left in this mutation that has destroy even itself to the point its so unrecognizable.
Did it really kill itself?
Has it got nothing better to do?
It still drive me mad on what these none existing factors contribute to the Ultimate question, "What is the Submachine?"
Maybe its the question that can never be answer because the Submachine really doesn't exist at all.
Wait...why am I here?
