How about we ask if he's even waiting to see Hygen. If so, why.

Ask again politely?
60:Do you know where Hygen is?

Sitting person: Huh? Hygen?
60: Where is he?
Sitting person: Oh, you mean where is Hygen? He just took a ship out of the base. To where, he didn't say.
60: Oh.
Perhaps the markings mean he's deaf?
How about we ask if he's even waiting to see Hygen. If so, why.
60: Are you deaf?
Sitting person: No, of course not. I was just sleeping. Sorry if I didn't hear you.

Make further inquiries about where Hygen went and how long he will be gone to any other creature/robot around

Ask what that object is on the left of the creature. And its name.

(It looks like a box of tissues... :?)
Also, ask if he knows what the text to the top right of the door says.

You don't see any other creatures or robots around.
Ask what that object is on the left of the creature. And its name.
60: What's that object next to you?
Sitting person: This grey box? It's just a box with some papers. Nothing you should worry about.
60: Okay, and what's your name?
Sitting person: My name is Rask.
Also, ask if he knows what the text to the top right of the door says.
60: Another question: What does the text next to the door say?
Rask: Can't you read it yourself?
60: No, I don't understand your writings.
Rask: It says "Hygen's Office".

60: So where did Hygen go?
Rask: He didn't say, I guess another base, or someplace where he's needed. I don't know.
