Do you know state of half-dream? when you are still sleeping, watching dream, but you can hear sounds from reality, or even WATCH it? And sometimes you can close your eyes (it is kind of hard...), and dream continues.
So, I think there is second type of this state: half-reality. It happens to me when I awake, but I didn't want to from the bed and decide to stay in the bad with closed eyes, trying to not become asleep again. And sometimes you start to watch "quick" new dreams, but you can EASILY open eyes again, throwing them off.
And again: You can watch these "quick" dreams very long time, but when you open eyes and look at clock... hey, what? only one minute has passed?..

yeah, I do that too. strangely it works better when I'm stressed because I have to wake up at certain time.

I get that sometimes too, usually it happens if I wake up a half hour before I'm supposed to wake up.

Oh well. :/
Hey,you know when you're dreaming and say you were running or fighting, and it feels like the air has turned to jelly?
I've found a way around that be concentrating on moving the individual muscles in, say, my legs, rather than just thinking of running.
