The creature was once human, but no more. It now lived in the ocean, but from time to time it would come back to the island, where it once lived. It remembered the time when it walked amongst them. It couldn't do that anymore, now that it drifted away, and could only interact with them on the beach, by playing with their boats or dragging them around with its tentacles. The people got mad at its random harassment and decided that it had to be killed. As the sun rose and the creature came to the shore, spears and stones started raining. The creature was once human, but no more. It now lived under the ocean, just a corpse, rotting away, lying over the skeletons of its attackers.
