There has never been an online button and never will be. Frankly, such notions struck you as reckless and foolhardy.

x3

If you mean the small rectangular graphic that shows who's online, I changed it to a little green circle to the left of your avatar.

But now we can't track each other's every move and watch if we're posting a message or looking in a specific forum or not :(

Oh ok

When admin posted that recent message I thought he meant that we could physically choose regardless of the file type.

Also, admin, can you change the thread name "Research Team 28X2005" to "Research Team", pretty please? :)

You can easily make your GIF a circle avatar if you edit it via Photoshop or other editing tools.

Also, I changed your thread's name since you asked nicely :3

Umm what? I am starting to think we're thinking of TWO different online buttons. What online button are you referring to?

It's not a button properly speaking, but there used to be a "Who is online" link in the main page, right above the panel showing online users.

I see what you meant. I thought that there's no such link when the previous forums don't have them. I checked and saw that there is indeed such a link here. I fixed it and got the Who Is Online link back.

Thanks for clarifying that up!
