Find out what each does (press them)
But first make two steps away from Snarr.
Try Pressing that button just one more time....
You don't see why you should take 2 steps away from Snarr. If it were an explosive, you reason Traskarz would have given you a warning.
Snarr presses the two new buttons and gets two different reactions:
First Button: The baton turns into a pen/marker:

Second Button: The baton turns into knife with a transparent bluish blade:

Then he presses the original button, and the knife disappears, leaving the baton in its' original state.
Snarr: Cool.

60: Look around to find a control box where you can cut it open with the knife and finally turn on the controls.

You look around, but find no such box.
You even check the fourth wall:

Traskarz: Using your knowledge of this technology, figure out how to turn the power on so we can open the doors already!

Seeing as there is no way to turn on the power in the room he finds only one option:
Traskarz: We need to go to the power generator room, which is behind the locked door back outside, in the corridor.

Do what Traskarz said
Balance is imperative; without it, total collapse and destruction is imminent.

Open the door. If it is locked use The Knife.

Open the door. If it is locked use The Knife.
Since you've already checked that the door was unlock, you say:
60: Snarr, try using The Knife to open the door.
Snarr: Ok.
Snarr easily slides the ultra thin Knife blade into the lock mechanism:

He tries to open the door, but finds something blocking him from going any further.
