Well, if you finish Nightmare mode (Night 6) you see a newspaper clipping saying the place burned down. And actually the Phone Dude says the wiring is faulty and the guard was there to keep the place from burning down.

Maybe Springtrap was burned. The Purple Guy's soul maybe will roam as a spirit at most.

Or maybe it will be back for another week...

Personally, I believe it's over. The whole story arc is closed.

One children is murdered on the first Freddy Fazbear's Dinner, and becomes The Puppet. After, in the newer pizza place (FNaF 2), Purple Guy kills another 5 children using the Golden Freddy suit and The Puppet places their souls into the animatronics and the golden suit. Sometime later, before FNaF 1, as the Safety Room was already sealed at that time (Phone Guy (Not to be mistaken as Phone Dude) was alive at the time when the room was sealed, and he died a short time before FNaF 1) Purple Guy breaks into the older pizza place, is haunted by the children, hides into the Springtrap suit at the Safety Room, it malfunctions, and ends up killing him, and the room is sealed with the suit inside...

Wait a minute, after Purple Guy dies, apparently the children become free and stop haunting the animatronics... so why are they still haunted at FNaF 1?

Because souls become free AFTER FNaF1?..

it's obvious in minigames (FNaF3) pizzeria is absolutely abandoned and decayed. After restaurant in FNaF1 got closed.

also, I think Killer used Spring Bonnie's suit for his murders. There were clues in telephone's talks in FNaF3...
or maybe he used both suits... (Spring Bonnie and Spring Freddy)

Maybe purple guy's spirit exists as a glitch now (FNaF3 minigames), also causing camera disruptions (Animatronic's ghosts).

This. FNAF1, then Minigames, Purple Guy's death, souls are free, years pass, FNAF3.

The weird stuff is: why the heck are there "phantom" versions of the animatronics haunting the player in FNAF3 via hallucinations? Same goes for BB and Puppet Master.
If the murders happened in FNAF2, then
1. Why do both "old" and Toy versions of each character attack you if they're not supposed to be haunted (Old ones up until night 4 at least)?
2. Why are the old animatronics destroyed?
3. What happened in the previous location, presumably where the first kid died and the original animatronics operated?
4. Why does Springtrap attack the player in FNAF3, even though he's technically dead? Hybrid suits shouldn't mean hybrid mind, so is it haunted as well? And why did it not attack Phone Dude/Hipster Scott when he found it with Phone Guy's audio tapes?

for the last game of the trilogy this does leave way too many questions unanswered, thank you very much Scott

I don't think Scott will close free source of money..

Guys, I suggest you move this discussion into the Video Games or GEV thread before Vurn or another user comes snooping around and making inquiries. He works hard to have this thread live up to its name
