Been trying different intensity and tint of the color background. It looks fine for now. I should attempt to tweak the details a bit more, though I would like to know some feedbacks. Here's my thoughts on your latest opinions:

I actually like it, a lot more than the green-blue style

the yellowish color reminds me of previous forum styles, and is much less disruptive to me.

The only thing that I'm not sure if I like is the black upper and lower bars.

I actually like the blue-green because it is very appealing and very soft and full of personality. This new style have bit of uniqueness, but it is more muted and focused on papery theme. I tried to find a color that fits both the links and the background. DARK TEAL will do for now. I made the header and footer black because I want a clear visual indication where the main content begins and ends. It also fits nicely with the top image!

If most of you didn't enjoy the new style and want to go back with the old one, I can easily change the style as I still have the copy of CSS file.

I changed my mind about the header, indeed it fits with the top image. I'm still not sure about the footer, I think it contrasts too much. But that's just my opinion, of course

I like the background this way, but the header and footer are somewhat a...distraction.

All right. Since it seems that most of ya didn't like the black header and footer. You get the white background back and something better.

And it still fits nicely with the top header image. Imma genius I also tweaked with the background now that I thought it has too much tan-yellow tint. Now it looks much better considering that I am going for a newsprint looks here. Still not settled on the links' color, but I think Dark Cyan / Teal should works fine for now.
