It's not that bad. Finnish government has a government-granted monopoly over alcohol and betting, for instance, and that's working out pretty fine.

EDIT: What any government needs though, is transparency.
That's exactly what the U.S. Government should've been doing with Marijuana (the monopoly.)

Okay guys! This discussion brought me to a question. Without looking any definitions up, in your own mind, are the two concepts "Game" and "Sport" clearly distinguishable? If for you, they are definitely distinct things, what is the difference between them?

Well, this is probably not accurate, but to me a sport is a physically active game, while a game is any competition.

So all sports are games, but NOT vice versa.

I don't completely agree though, I don't think all competitions are games though.

Ahh... I see where he is going. Political competition is usually not called a game, or a competition between armies.

Edit: So add something like, "all non harmfully destructive (deadly?) competitions." You can harm to a degree, but not in a destructive way.
