Most probably, Mateusz said he wants to start this year, yet it will be released in 2015.

If Mateusz wants to start this year and plans to release it one year later, just imagine how huge it will be then. :'D

What stops to make final game more huge than half of SEP? (~500 rooms and puzzles)

Even if it takes more than 2 years?

yeah, good luck convincing Mateusz -_-

EDIT: I mean, I would completely agree to it if it was possible, but it's a too farfetched solution and Mateusz probably has the story finished. If he has planned the ending, he can only expand the game so much.

You mean like adding 300 pointless rooms?

No.

No.
*facepalm*

final game = HUGE PLOT EXPLOSION + DEADLY DIFFICULTY + SUPER LONG PLAYING TIME
(that means one puzzle or one plot revelation per one room)

no?

Edit:
If it would be like original Submachine 1, I would call it FAIL

Edit2:
ok,ok

HOW many puzzles and rooms should Sub10 contain to become greatest subgame?
with longest gameplay time?

no.

Mateusz probably has already the plot, and the size is determined, probably not enough for so many rooms. i don't want him to inflate it artificially so that the game is purposelessly bigger.

the only other option is to fill the rest with puzzles, and that would make the game dull and more like SNEE than a main-story game.

EDIT:

I'd say... a little more than Sub2 or Sub9's length would have me satisfied. perhaps more. though that depends on the plot.

and about the puzzles, I don't want so much quantity as I want quality. that means like DMT4-level of hardness or more :P
