You forgot that the subconscious can be easily manipulated.
Not very good for seeing truths, if you see things that aren't there.

And if I try to draw like that, I won't get very far, because the overall picture would be distorted.

I'm reading/watching/playing the best stories (books/movies/games/etc.). My unconscious mind tends to signal me about deeper themes or "codes" as you put it in the stories that move me the deepest.
I'm always searching for the such.
The Truth is the Truth and nothing else
The truth must be something, otherwise it is nothing.
unconscious
Unconscious or subconscious?

This "debate" is getting so utterly absurd that I'd classify Vurn's comment as a parody, not mockery.

I think he's right here.

I agree actually. That is where the discipline comes in, which is part of my whole point. WorldisQuiet seems to be in that state whereby his perception is broad, but not controlled, and thus things become (or can become) very distorted.

To use my drawing as an analogy again, I had a system by which I filtered my unconscious perceptions (...subconscious or unconscious... not sure which is the best term. I simply mean that which is not conscious. I'm not trying to identify a particular part of the not-conscious.) to give them order and prevent distortion. That system was based on the work of countless people before me, the systems they discovered to work, the logic of drawing if you will. (I sound to myself as if I'm saying I'm some master at drawing... in some ways I suppose I am because I was able to grasp the over all structure. However, now adays I haven't the self-discipline or control to do very good drawing. However, the lessons of my past self still seem to apply here.)

So, to reiterate, WorldisQuiets capacity to perceive needs discipline. To use his analogy, I think his floor is actually quite flimsy.
The truth must be something, otherwise it is nothing.
My point is that the Truth is everything. There are patterns however which we can observe and comment on. That is what the unconscious mind can do.

Actually, I don't know if I would agree totally with that. The unconscious is a garbage in, garbage out kind of processor, or rather our perception of what the unconscious is doing can be garbage in garbage out. Again, it is all about a disciplined system based upon observation, corroboration, and reason.

But the unconscious mind wants to create patterns. That is why we can see faces Mars, or emoticons.
It wants to make sense out of a chaos.

And it probably isn't a garbage in, garbage out proccesor. It probably remembers a ton of spam, if you call it that.
Eg. dreams; our subconscious can't create things on its own, it just scrambles pre-existing data.
And that data come from somewhere.

And the conscious mind can only go so far, because it is influenced to a point by the subconscious.

Truth is the universe then? Anyway, the point I wanted to make is that WiQ lacks the ability to comment on his observations, thus not quite fitting this definition.

Of course, that could be his own shortcomings, and not something that should be generalized.

Indeed, it's his, not Redafro's shortcomming. It's nothing to be ashamed of to have shortcommings of course.

Some thoughts are simply hard to express. The mind has it's own language only it's owner can understand.

Not create, recognize, even when there is not actual pattern. The point is that when it is disciplined it may recognize true patterns, like physics. I think it is accurate to say that many scientific discoveries began as intuitions: the unconscious recognizing a pattern.

Right, exactly. Again, the point is discipline.

Once again, of course. We are limited and influenced by all manor of things.

Are you disputing my points or expanding on them? XD
Anyway, the point I wanted to make is that WiQ lacks the ability to comment on his observations, thus not quite fitting this definition.
Isn't that what I was saying? Well, I suppose you mean sense he can't comment, it must not be the Truth. But I would say he is seeing patterns, code as it where, and in so doing is glimpsing something of the Truth. But yes, unable to accurately comment on or understand it.
