A dream doesn't just turn into a nightmare, it's either a nightmare or it's a dream, not both :P

It's like labeling a Horror Movie as a Comedy because the characters are hilarious in the beginning.

Time revive the thread with a strange dream:
In the dream, everything was normal, except when I moved my tongue in a certain way, the back of my mouth would bleed until my mouth is full of blood, then I have to spit it all out and it would stop bleeding. I tried not to move my tongue in the said way, but I eventually did it several times. And I could taste the blood.
No one in the dream noticed my predicament, though.

Sound like Edgar Allan Poe The Facts in the case of M. Valdemar.

A man was dying of some diseases and someone did this experiment to where they were set to die the next day and before that he puts them in a sleepwalking trances. They could ask him question like "How are you doing Valdemar?" and he said "Sleeping. Still dieing." Then the next day when he was set to die, he was still alive. The ask him "Are you asleep Valdemar?" he said "Yes;—asleep now. Do not wake me!—let me die so!". They ask him "Do you still feel pain in the breast, M. Valdemar?", he said "No pain—I am dying!".

Three days later he was ask the same question but this time he responded "Yes;—no;—I have been sleeping—and now—now—I am dead." They kept him in this state for several months. During that time his limbs became more ridges. Then one day, his jaw open all the way and lock in a ridged position. They ask him the question again but his tongue would vibrate violently but no sound would come out. They had to vibrate it more slowly by hand to get his vocal cords to make a sound.

After a while they decided to wake him up. But they ask him "M. Valdemar, can you explain to us what are your feelings or wishes now?" , he replied "For God's sake!—quick!—quick!—put me to sleep—or, quick!—waken me!—quick!—I say to you that I am dead!". When they woke him up, the second he was awake, it was describe as:

"As I rapidly made the mesmeric passes, amid ejaculations of "dead! dead!" absolutely bursting from the tongue and not from the lips of the sufferer, his whole frame at once—within the space of a single minute, or less, shrunk—crumbled—absolutely rotted away beneath my hands. Upon the bed, before the whole company, there lay a nearly liquid mass of loathsome—of detestable putrescence.

That sound like your dream to me. They didn't notice because they knew you were dead. The blood from your tongue was from your attempt to talk.

No, I don't think that's it, I did have conversations with the people in the dream.
I think it's more about self control.

I had a funny dream the other night. I was going to the beach with my friends but there was a bouncer. He was making everyone take off their shirts and if they weren't muscular enough they couldn't go to the beach.

Now I'm extremely skinny, so he told me I wasn't ripped enough to go to this beach. I replied, "But dude have you looked at my calves?" I am a runner and my calves are huge enough to feed a family of four for a week, so the bouncer smiled and said, "Alright, go on in."

Later on, we realized that the bouncer was actually a lifeguard who just didn't want anyone on the beach who wouldn't be able to handle the strong currents in the water that day. It almost makes sense to do that, but of course it made perfect sense in the dream.

To quote something I've just read, "Thus spake Zombyrus."

Quite an interesting dream...Could it be a self-conscious fear of not being strong (enough)?
