If that fails, expose it to the darkness outside, see if that affects the paper in any way.
Don't let him drop it though, Vortex! That paper's like a
KEY ITEM!
Losing the paper = Unwinnable = GG.
(Use magnifying glass too, to go with that "invisible ink" possiblity.)
Search the clothes in the wardrobe for Battery #4.
Also search in there for a possible battery charger? (Like Coil Charger in Submachine, but mobile or manual?).
Don't wanna have our batteries have uneven charges, so that if one dies, the flashlight dies completely, leaving us in the pitch dark, where we are likely to be eaten by a Grue... you know?

LIST OF ITEMS SO FAR! (For convenience purposes.)
STEEL ROD (CURRENTLY EQUIPPED AS WEAPON / TOOL)
FLASHLIGHT (+ BATTERIES X 3)
WALLET
KEYCHAIN OF KEYS (KEYS X 3 = BOTTOM DRAWER + 2 HOME KEYS)
MYSTERIOUS PAPER
PHONE (POWER SAVER MODE = ON. MESSAGES = 0. CONNECTION = NONE - BARELY ANY)
MAGNIFYING GLASS
Should we also make sure as to what are key items?
Alternatively we could make it so there are no key items, and Ian is at the mercy of the Game...
But that would suck...
For HIM...

Ian does both things at the same time.
He checks with the magnifying glass, but nothing has changed. It was a good idea though.

He searches inside the wardrobe, but there is nothing useful left.

Thanks! You can also make a command to show the inventory, so that you don't have to keep track of the items every time.
<about key items, well... every item can be a key item eventually

(Ian won't leave room without working flashlight?)
Command: Ian: Try to call your uncles. If you want...
Also: did you check what is ON wardrobe?

He can, but if there's no light he won't see a thing.
Sublevel 102 wrote:Command: Ian: Try to call your uncles. If you want...
<You can't just say "if you want...", your commands are your responsibility
He has a chance to contact them, but likely he won't because there is almost no signal, and he would just waste battery in that case. It's up to you to decide if you make the command or not>
Sublevel 102 wrote:Also: did you check what is ON wardrobe?
Ian goes to check...
There is nothing! It looks like the fourth battery isn't in the room after all...
terein wrote:could you use one of the keys as replacement for the battery? it wouldn't power it but it would let the electricity pass trough
Awesome idea! He will use the drawer key, since the drawer is already opened and he won't need it anymore.
The flashlight still works! Though at a fraction of its full power.

Place paper near room's lightbulb (Some invisible ink reveals itself with heat)

Again, is there a charger for the batteries?
Or for gameplay purposes will our batteries be INFINITE POWAH?!
