Nuts. There goes my dream...

:(

But wait! There's interesting details about what Steam accepts (at least through Steam's Greenlight). Check this link (SteamWorks FAQ) and see #3 under Technical Details:
  • 3. Do you take XNA, Flash or Adobe Air games?
Yes, we accept all three types on Steam. Flash games need to be wrapped so that they launch from a stand-alone executable.
At least Steam can accepts Flash! But My guess from reading the FAQ is that there would be bit more work to put together the games and get them "wrapped" before they're acceptable for Steam. And then it would have to go through Greenlight, get it voted for release, wait several months before Valve decide to release it, get the fans interested, fix the bugs, etc etc etc...

Yeah, I can see why...

But then, where are going to be made the upcoming standalone Submachine games?

That wrapping up is exactly what I'm doing while transforming submachines into HD.

Look, it's not a technical issue. I just don't want to go to steam and AGAIN try to sell something old and dated. I want to create something new.

Yet some people are actually something old on Steam :D can't hurt to try! Though I understand and respect your logic. I will still buy your ultimate Submachine bundle (if not bundle, then every single games!) no matter what.

Also, I noticed in the other thread that if you would make a new series, it would be in a different format other than Flash.

Would you be going for HTML5, trying out the Unity engine, or something different?

Does this imply that you will eventually combine all 10 games together?

That would be a very long game but I would love to see that lol

unity or game maker.

I'm torn, because in game maker I'd be able to do it myself. In unity I'd need a programmer.
