could someone test if he can create new topics in the main games forums? (subamchine, dmt, 10g, covert).
It should be disabled, wanted to check if that works.

I noticed that almos all indie games follow two paths - they're either pixelart, which I hate, or they're veeeeery cutsy sweet and girly.
I think that I found my niche with this ugliness of the hand drawn indie stuff.

and I agree too, I can't stand those retro/pixelart games >_<
also, I like your games because they are original and prove there can be very good quality games without a shitload of effects and realism, and without losing any sophistication.

I liked the look of this forum but the old one was easier to use

or rather, i like sprite work

pixelart in itself isn't a bad thing, imo
i means the game has to rely on other aspects to shine, which is a good thing, considering a lot of titles go for looks over substance, and are bad for it

that said, a title with both substance and good looks is always good

pastelgames titles being a good example
EDIT: also, i like the red arrow/font that shows unread subforums/threads

Looks great, although I would agree about the lines being a bit flashy.

So far I gotta say the layout is pretty cluttered. Every post is adorned with Re: Thread Title and we got signatures and user statistics and the dates of the posts all surrounding the actual posts, which is a start contrast to the last forum, which was much cleaner. The layout drew my eyes to the posts themselves, which contained the information I actually cared about. Also it brings you to a whole new page when you want to post, which is a bit disorienting at first. I didn't even know that the thread was displayed in a tiny little scrolling box at the bottom there for a minute. Could definitely use some design changes, though I understand if the technical mumbo jumbo doesn't allow for some things.
If anyone comes on here posting exclusively in color- especially lighter colors like this- I will shit fiery balls of disapproval, red-hot with anger, and chuck them at the poster.
Though I gotta say, the banner is great, but I might just be saying that because I'm a sucker for sketchy-looking artwork.

@mur, you can create a test user, and assume their permissions with phpBB. It'll allow you to test all of that stuff.

The newer forum is great,got more effects to play around with(like I actually use them...).
The banner reminds me of the "pontianak" of ancient Malay myths,with the long hair and all.
