Current version of Subnet is 4.0.0 as stated in "a note from author.txt". I guess this messes up some release notes?

Not necessarily, if we count this as a separate branch from the online game.

Or maybe I misinterpreted encryption update as V4.0.0 and it was just a transition update. I'll take that!

This update has a new location karma-portaled from the Twins room, as in the screenshot from the blog. To unlock the new area you'll need to get yourself a Weight Stone and drop it on a new location accessed from 728 via a karma portal. That'll lower the ladder, which will let you explore 523 further.

EDIT: I forgot you also need a new karma vial item to unlock the 728 portal. You can get that in 523.

I won't spoil the contents of the new room (though you can guess it) but the new extension to the old location seems to have space for more karma portals.

Also, I couldn't find the Salon room. Anybody else see it?

EDIT: Also, for archiving/Wiki purposes: The big new location (523+karma) is labeled "npg".
The small new location (728+karma) is labeled "sza".

what salon room?

I dunno we missed another room, even if they are 104 loc files, I presume that one of them is the main menu.
