The figures never really had any significant depth to them. Most of the drawing material has been made a long time ago and what you see in the images above is cropped/edited parts of the original hand drawn sketches.
The original drawings that appear in the pictures above are:
- 15.jpg (339.2 KiB) Viewed 3155 times
If you recognise the hands in the top picture.
- 41.jpg (460.14 KiB) Viewed 3155 times
Unedited, simple and colored.
- 38.jpg (421.4 KiB) Viewed 3155 times
As seen in the last image with the machine photo.
I'm placing the last one in a next reply, because I can't load it properly.
I really wanted to recycle and reuse the original pictures to oblivion (deepfrying, maybe, or some other kind of possible distortion). I'm also intrested in messing up with them without the whole stylization of making a collage, like try deleting their files and then ressurecting them to see the glitch variations, or messing with their data in some way. (I don't know the methods yet, gotta look them up)
Another thing I do with this material, is making small animations, including always a few more randomn images, with elements of internet a e s t h e t i c sprinkled here and there, which can be found in the some of the collages above.
After all, until quarantine I was going through a phase were I short of gave up on drawing and painting. And I don't have the same confidence in my skills like before.
That was a good way to get in touch with pieces that were made before the skip and experiment with mediums and styles to kinda get the juices flowing back.
