you can say something like this:

Hello, Mr. Gutierrez. My name is Sublevel, and I am writing to you on behalf of the community of fans of the Submachine series, with regard to one of your early loop ambients, specifically the one named "cathedral.mp3", which is used in the game Submachine 1. After talking with the creator of said game, we have finally found its source (http://www.flashkit.com/loops/Ambient/S ... /index.php), and further investigations point to you as its author.

We would like to know if you still have access to this ambient (and possibly its extended version, mentioned in the description), and if that is the case, whether you would be interested in selling it to us.

We look forward to your answer.

Sincerely,

Sublevel
