Um... there are four to eight major world religions (depending on the boundaries) and there are large gaps in occurrence/popularity even between thoseSublevel wrote:And the most lame thing is world have over 100 different religions

well, I see it's more prevalent in the East, but in general I don't see it as remarkably religious, especially compared to other places. The Abacus wrote:http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Religion_in_EuropeOnyxIonVortex wrote:Europe is religious?
yeah, that's one of the main reasons I'm not religious.Sublevel 102 wrote:world have over 100 different religions, and every of them thinks their religion is right and correct and others are false.
the problem is that some precepts of different religions might be exclusive (for example, monotheism), trying to reconcile them can be viewed as heresy by some people.Religious Pluralism
But do the people there see believing in a religion is so much more better than otherwise?Sublevel 102 wrote:I consider Religion as LAME.

That would depend on the extent of the acceptance of other religions: although religions may differ on many principles, most of them share some variation of the same moral principle ("Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself," Karma, Zakat, etc). Hence, it would be possible to say that you agree with some aspects, but disagree with others. This is NOT the same as saying that the other religion is completely false. The more two religions share with each other, the easier it is to agree. (and this is why I do not understand conflicts between religions)Vortex wrote:the problem is that some precepts of different religions might be exclusive (for example, monotheism), trying to reconcile them can be viewed as heresy by some people.
I don't understand the questionThe Kakama wrote:But do the people there see believing in a religion is so much more better than otherwise?
I would not do much for religion. I simple read my King James the 3rd Bible. And try to figure out what some of the chapters are about on my own.Sublevel 102 wrote:private messages
