Ok, Sublevel, time to have a serious rant.
For god's sake, we get it. You don't like using walkthroughs and hints. We
know, Sublevel.
And I stated RIGHT THERE in my video,
at 54:12, that I was taking a stress break to dinner at that point. I had accomplished nothing for some time, I had gotten nowhere, and I needed to leave my dorm room for a breath of fresh air and a bite to eat.
Then I made the conscious decision to use a hint after realizing that I might want to hurry things along a bit, considering the circumstances. So yes, I did cheat. Wow. You fucking "caught" me, even though I clearly stated I was *almost* at the end of my rope and I needed things to progress.
Here's the thing.
Sublevel, I didn't have as much time to play Sub10 as you did. Ok? I made the conscious decision to play it for the first time and record it for YouTube. That meant I had to break the seal of total immersion by keeping a separate recording window open, being concerned about how long each recording segment was, etc. I didn't
get the full experience I originally planned before, because I wanted to dedicate it to YouTube instead. Also, in case you didn't bother to watch (or just didn't remember) my other Submachine videos, I had a cold. I had a cough. I was pretty low-energy, especially after finishing semester finals and recording at least ten other videos that weekend for the rest of the series.
So you're going to witch-hunt me because I decided to use one little hint to make things a bit easier for me?
I don't know if you knew this about making videos on YouTube, but I had to
go back and cut out all the time where I wasn't solving shit, in order to reduce the video from 6 hours to 1.5. That meant I had to rewatch the entire damn thing so I knew where to cut. If I could use one hint to prevent me from extending the recording by a half an hour, then I wasn't afraid to do it. Ok?
It didn't matter in the end, because when I finished Sub10 I felt drained and exhausted, in no fit way to talk about it or review what I had played. I was done at that point, which you probably heard if you watched the rest of the video. That's the price I paid for making this YouTube-ready the next day.
Sublevel, I sacrificed my personal journey with this game to please the masses and spread its popularity. I hope you understand that. I kicked my roommate out for six hours, hung a blanket over the window, and put a stack of books in between my computer and my mouse to improve the audio quality. I wish now that I hadn't gone to all that trouble, but I did. And I did it for the fucking community.
If you're going to call me out for using one hint, especially by using your cryptic language as you always do:
finally, got some free time
what to do?..
hmm...
...
*returns to Submachine...*
*...via Jatsko's let's play walkthrough!*
Edit:
54:30
...
I'm coming.
Hope you enjoyed your last dinner.
I had no idea what this meant when you said this. I honestly thought you were rewatching my let's plays and then doing a speedrunning marathon or some shit. Then you go and say this:
*returns from Submachine marathon*
I thought Bobby caught you...
for what you did on 54:30..
Nobody knows who the fuck Bobby is. I imagine he's some character that you've made up and haven't shared with us (or at least me, a 5 Gen member). I guessed that you were referring to a time in a YouTube video of mine, and that turned out to be right.
If you have a problem with how I play the game, why couldn't you just say something like:
Aw man, why did you use a hint at 54:30 in your Sub10 let's play?
In case you haven't noticed, I'm not someone who listens to beating-around-the-bush poetic BS. I think in terms and phrases people can understand. So just make it simple next time, please.
Though there won't even be a next time, because I'm sick of you dragging your "NO HINTS EVER" policy all over our faces, all the time. You can have your own opinions on walkthroughs and hints, but don't parade them in our faces and make us feel guilty by thinking anything different.
Also, that video was made SEVEN MONTHS AGO. GIVE IT A FUCKING REST.

I'm sorry, everyone. I felt that needed to be said and brought to light. I hate lashing out at people, and I hardly ever do it, but I let myself go that time. I'm off the forum for a couple days. I'll take all of your questions for my YouTube channel with me (zero from here) and leave you be.
Ban me if you want, even.
