You know, if Submachine was space station that spins around Earth, I would say there's day and night (period when nearest star, The Sun, illuminates station, and period when station is in shadow of Earth).
But when you're in black void of underground, where's no any star...

Submachine IS underground, only that it could be outside in one of the main Layers.

Remember, Submachine is the amalgamation of pocket dimensions accessible by the Lighthouse :3
