Thanks for the welcome guys. :)

I'm honestly convinced the subnet is simply another universe created by God (Shiva), and in the next game, we will meet Shiva.

I'm probably wrong though. The Exit will definitely blow our minds.

When I made the machine that opens the tunnel under elizabeth's statue it felt warm and happy.

We'll definitely be going back to actual machines, with buttons, cogs, wheels, codes, numbers, levers, pullies and all that stuff.
Then I'm right, Shiva is actualy the Computer taking place of a God because is proud of its power.

EDIT: I think, if the Computer is so important, it can maybe be surrounded by Sub-bots. :D

Well, the intro message from Sub9 said we didn't travel too far or too early, and I think this implies it's been in real time since the beginning (but that's only what I think).

we didn't travel too far
"too far" of place, or "too far" of time?

what if Mur and Liz are subbots, and what we have seen is their iron bodies covered in bandage? XD

NO.

They're humans and have human's functions. Why else they have bathroom to use and foods to eat? :P

Hello there fellow Submerged ^_^. I am a recent addition to the Forum flock. Nice to meet you.

Before I decided what actually i should post here, i had a few crazy/romantic theories about what happens in the Submachine (both as a game, and as a universe). But after a couple of hours of skimming through existing theories and topics, came realized that all of them were easily debunked (although i hardly was expecting any to last more then a few seconds), so, in the end i was left with almost nothing to provide in terms of "theoretical material". Sadly, i also am more of a "liberal arts" person, then "technical" (although i have basic understanding of the simple technical processes e.t.c. even if barely enough to not feel utterly dumb).
More to it, while I've played the game, i put little attention to small details. The way i perceive games/books/movies is a bit more of generalized feel and almost full submersion, rather then detailed browsing and borderline distancing. And sumbachine provides almost perfect atmosphere to dive in.
Also, i will apologize in advance, since English is not my native language, and my punctuation is bad even in my own language.
Fort that, i beg your forgiveness.

Now. To part where i suggest some theories.

Three Dimensional Time.
This theory does not belong exclusively to 10'th part of Submachine Game, but rather applies to whole universe of Submachine.
With what little humanity understand about Time as a concept, it is easy to speculate about what can and what can not be done in terms of Time-space relations. This, of course, makes it a juicy and easily exploited theme in any sci-fi plot. And Concept of time being a three-dimensional, rather then vector-based, is somewhat popular. It allows traveling back, forth, up, down, to the sides, and remaining still. Also, maybe there is possibility to be outside of the "Time" as a concept.
No, i do understand that this is farfetched, but maybe, just maybe, there is something to think about.

It would not change anything plot-related, nor will provide any understanding of what happening in the Sumbachnie, but we all love explaining things, are we not? What if Mur and Liz are acting under premise of having ability to perceive time as three-dimensional concept. What if whole world of Submachine operates under "three-dimensional time" as concept. Would it explain how Mur and Liz are traveling between dimensions? Possibly. Would it explain why there are only 7+1 layers/dimensions. No. It actually would kinda contradict with the theory, since Three-dimensional time allows nigh infinite number of layers/dimensions.
I have nothing to prove standing of that theory. And as i said earlier, i am not very good at spotting every small detail (i actually tend to skip them in favor of overall picture), nor am i overly "technical". So, would that theory be interesting for discussion?

It would be an interesting discussion considering that Time or rather Light has became a critical point in the series.

I wouldn't go so far to say ALL of our theories are debunked quite that easily. Yes, the latest revelations did caused some ripples in plot developments and revealing of Submachine, though that's where it ends. Some theories got debunked, some got confirmed (more or less) and some are still mired in Limbo where not enough details made it more likely or unlikely to be close to accurrate.

Takes my own Dimensional Pathway Theory (628), I do admit that the new details about Submachine made it sinks a bit. But only a bit since the theory focus on the purpose and function of Submachine as both sum of parts and whole and since we still haven't fully learn what Submachine really is and their function not fully shown, my theory isn't debunked nor confirmed.

One detail about how Submachine may have grew and expand via Karmic Water does hit against my theory, but that's still not enough.

Even so, I would like to hear more about your theories and many of our theories :P
