looks like the Defense System has a set initial pattern in messages for subbots to communicate, called the "welcome pattern", and Murtaugh's message doesn't have that pattern. the message is tagged as "outside", and since that place is infested by humans, protocol 54-2 activates and blocks the message.Sublevel 102 wrote:last translation question about Sub6:

that's what I thought... thanks!looks like the Defense System has a set initial pattern in messages for subbots to communicate, called the "welcome pattern", and Murtaugh's message doesn't have that pattern. the message is tagged as "outside", and since that place is infested by humans, protocol 54-2 activates and blocks the message.
it's your destiny, son......okaaay XD
All of the player's communication with Mur was through a computer. It could have been just a looping message Mur set up to everyone who entered the Subnet. ( I think there was a note supporting that in Sub7 orSub8 somewhere..-If Murtaugh is dead, how come the Player started working for the Lab in Submachine 5 and got assigned a mission? Who is in charge of the Lab now?
well, at least I don't see why not.OnyxIonVortex wrote:Yeah, but the thing was too "specific", I mean, at the start of Sub5 the Player woke up in a bed, with food and coffee, and the computer message said "did you sleep well?". Was all that automated too?
