I think that the 2nd is legit, and necessary, we shouldn't spam serious topics with images (nor with anything really), even if they are in general discussion thread.

I'm doing a poster for a conference we're having here later this month. Gonna have visitors from all over Europe working on the same project. Hopefully I'll confirm my Thesis subject during the conference.
