Did we ever find out what exactly the piece of paper with the circles and lines meant? How to look at it properly?

It was in retrospect to the Plan.
7 circles for the 7 main layers.
The 8th Circle for the Layer of Light.

That's changing the direction of all 7 Main Layers.
