8192 MB? Thats like 8 GB, my computer is only 2 GB and works really fine.
Wait, just to be precise, where did you get the information? Did you check properties of your unit?

My brother's desktop only got 4GB RAM, and it was the highest on the store. You seem to have a truly high end computer there...

Re: rant board
When exactly did your problems start? Do you remember if you did anything in particular? or it just happened for no reason you can think of?Jatsko wrote:So with less than one month until the release of Sub10 (December! Can you believe it?) I'm freaking out. Because by the looks of it, I won't be able to play this game.
Adobe support forums are, quite frankly, terrible. Nobody fucking responds on that site with any helpful information. There is no phone number I can call for Flash Player support, either, which really ticks me off. I would much rather go through the hassle of calling than sitting and pressing the refresh key.
Obviously you guys all know about my issue (if not, here is a rundown of it) and it's really just ticking me off that I can't seem to find any help about this. The most help that I've gotten is from Mateusz himself, and he suggested that there's a problem with my RAM in relation to Adobe Flash Player. But he doesn't have the time to take a closer look. And I've brought this point up to the Flash boards and no one has been responsive at all.
Can't I just play a nice Submachine game with out seeing lagging screens? Can't my laptop, which should be faster than my old Vista, be able to handle these Flash application files? I don't want to have to wait for a screen to stutter in FUCKING SUBMACHINE 1. Or Sub0. Sub8 and Sub9, yes, I understand that there are a couple screens where the load time would be significantly more. But now it's just ridiculous, having to wait for six seconds to traverse a screen in the Temple. It's never been this bad. I don't WANT to have to watch the fucking Sub1 Basement, of all games, stutter in fullscreen before my eyes.
That's the thing. This issue is affecting ALL the games, not just the later heavy-duty ones. Something I've noticed, however: cutscenes/picking up and placing items are normal speed. The big thing is just the act of switching between screens or something like growing a karmic plant or something like that. But I'm fucking fed up with this.
Something's screwed up: whether it's my computer, or Adobe Flash Player, or something else. But I'm not getting answers. And I've browsed through about 50 webpages trying to find solutions. Cleared caches, uninstalling and reinstalling, just nothing works.
I don't know, I don't see what's so wrong about trying to play these games made by this great artist. I've been able to play them fine before and now, since getting this laptop, they're all slow. How am I going to be able to play Sub10? There's no conceivable way that I will be able to enjoy it unless this is fixed. I just want to play the game and not have to worry about things like this. And not have to plague all of you with help. At least sometimes you guys listen (not Adobe at all).
So. Is there ANYONE here who has ANY information on how to help me? Even if you personally don't know, do you know someone I can contact?
Do you have hardware acceleration activated in the Flash Player? Also open your task manager while playing Sub9 and look at the "performance" tab when the lag happens. Try to see if the lag is most noticeable when the game is full screen (this is what happens to me). Put the game in window format and make the window as small as possible, and see if the lag disappears.
If the above happens, it's probably the screen resolution. The resolution of 1920x1080 you put in your specs is comparatively huge. I have the same res and at full screen Sub9 takes 6 full seconds to change room in the dragon roof location. Since you're in a laptop you can try to lower your resolution and see if the problem goes better. Let me know if that helped you.
It makes me angry that nobody wants to help you. I hope you can solve the problem before Sub10's release.

Re: rant board
Thanks for staying on topic.
@Vortex:
1) It doesn't make a difference whether hardware acceleration is enabled or not. And by that I mean, running each file itself without the acceleration, as Flash 19 is pretty integrated into my system so I can't really "change the settings" there.
2) When putting the game in regular 300x300 the lag decreases noticeably. But it still appears in some of the smaller games. CPU usually spikes around 40% whenever I hit a particularly big screen, which is pretty high. I'll figure out a way to lower the screen res as my Vista ran it fine in 1440x900. Hopefully the quality won't decrease too much, though I'm willing to give some of that up. I'll get back to you and tell you what works and what doesn't.
@Sublevel: It seems like your problem was a lot worse than mine, usually I only have trouble between screens. So I'm glad you were able to fix whatever that hell was

I see. In my case it does make a difference, but it's so slight it's alomst unnoticeable. I guessJatsko wrote:1) It doesn't make a difference whether hardware acceleration is enabled or not. I don't think you will notice much the change in resolution at full screen, unless your laptop has a really big screen. My laptop has a 15.6 inch screen and it looks fine at 1366x768. When I play Submachine in it you can really feel the difference in performance.Jatsko wrote:2) When putting the game in regular 300x300 the lag decreases noticeably. Moreover, I think there could be some program that lets you change the resolution automatically when you open a certain file. I'll look it up to see if I can find anything like that.
EDIT: found it!
Either way, good luck!

Re: rant board
my problem was in new versions of both browser and flashplayer.
I deleted new versions and reinstalled old versions both of them, so I was able to play.
I don't know if it would help you, but still
