Somewhat. Getting used to it very quickly, and already "Legend-ified" this forum thanks to the Wikia.
But seriously, my KEEN INSTINCTS are telling me that I could use some "Pastel Forum Culture review", thank you.
Well then, let's start with a vocabulary:
Old forum/pf - The forum before this one. Was running abandonware, leaving us with no means to fend off the massive spam invasion that forced us here. The era during which I joined, and as such as far back as my first-hand knowledge extends.
Revolucje forums - The one before the above. I think. There was another, but I don't remember if it was before this one. In any case, the first was lost due to partial tolerance for Polish and the use of a hosting service only allowing English, and the second to a database crash of some sort. Ask somebody else to fill you in.
Pastel wars - a period when the forums plunged into a fairly heated atmosphere that had arisen from arguments about tolerating newcomers. This was before my time, but it's apparently preferred to keep inquiries on the matter to pm.
Pastel vs Cthulhu wars - And entirely different matter that I list merely to spare you the potential trouble of confusing them. A lighthearted role-play spanning a few pages back in the old forums. Read through it once, didn't involve Cthulhu in any way.
Summer sleep of 2013 - A period of unusually low activity at the time the name implies. Activity still drops every once in a while, but this remains the flagship example.
Spammageddon - the second wave of spam, this time hitting us in the current forum. To make matters worse, Mateusz was out of town, leaving us to deal with it all ourselves. An unusually complex event, resulting in mass migration in two directions, that might have split the community in two had our administrator not returned. The following clean-up went mostly smooth, but resulted in the loss of the music thread, the "In pastel land" forum game, and a lot of veteran accounts with few posts, most notably marbles. I believe the old command centre should cover anything else about this.
Pastel community game - Aka the PCG, a game project a few members, me included, have been working on. Seems to have stagnated, and it's thread has slipped off the main page.
And that's all I can think off at the moment. Anybody else is free to add to this, especially as I've probably only managed to cover the obvious. Next up- an index of members and commonly associated quirks and jokes.
