I also liked that in the HD version this last screen is wider and lets one see more details, it was a nice touch :)

I don't like this. Nowhere in the game tells anything about the player. How could this be a proper conclusion without any information on the player?

Yeah, that's a question that I felt there was no real answer for.

However, there's the usher note. Perhaps we are the disciple.

I got that feeling too. That note made me think it's like we've come full circle from when we started - we are the disciple, we entered the Submachine, took our journey, and learned from it. And now we are exiting.

Yeah. Also with the reappearance of the four tile puzzle :P
