WIQ, have you ever played LIMBO?
You referenced Dante's Inferno, and I remember doing some research about Limbo after the game came out, and I learned a lot about the circles of Hell and all that. Not something I believe in, but really interesting to read about and look at diagrams and such.
If you ever played LIMBO, I would love to see something related to that

So, my AP art stuff is all done, and I've edited them in higher quality
I think at this point I'll be safe if I post the pictures to the Internet. Just y'all be sure not to claim it as your own or whatever
This year I noticed that I didn't always feel as if I was connecting with my work. Even though I enjoyed the long stretches of painting or drawing, constantly listening to music, it didn't always click between me and the paper. So therefore I'm only going to show a few for which I have the greatest positive feelings. Those that I show will also have a song or two which I remember listening to a lot while I worked.
Starting with this one: This oil painting didn't make it into my official portfolio because my art teacher said it was 'too experimental'. To be fair, this was my first experience with oil paint (and also my most recent) so I was more focused on learning how to manipulate the matter rather than create a theme or message.
The special song for this piece is
"Gentle" by Wounds. I like to think that the ascending and descending tones match the waves in the painting, and that each chord has its own color. Maybe I'll revisit this idea someday and make a whole landscape of these colorful hills
E5: "Gentle" - Oil - 9" x 12"
Also be on the lookout for another Submachine 10 movie poster this summer, made from charcoal.

As an art critic... You could make the point where the hill split into two on the left side bit more tapered. As it currently looks, it is quite jarring in contrast to the work's overall organic quality.
As an art observer... I LIKED IT
:3
I think you may have something special going on with this piece. It reminds me a lot of Clyfford Still's works and that's a good thing.
