You weren't wrong actually, in the HD version of Sub1 the last room (with the elevator, after the tile puzzle is completed) seems to be from the infernal basement, and a layer changing sound is heard right before it appears:Sundex wrote:Okay, I took a screenshot on the infernal basement and the sub 10 basement, and already noticed a similarity: they both have the 4 tile puzzle as some sort of an origin. Now, if you decided to layer these atop of each other, you would notice some more similarities: the red karma portal and the cyan karma portal are in the exact same coordinate room in both of these portions (2,-1). Not only that, but the position of the valve in norm basement and the rotating stone puzzle in infernal basement is the same as well (-1,0). Now this is a wild thought that completely contradicts a theory I made but are the normal basement and infernal basement on different layers?
EDIT: never mind. Just realized that if the infernal basement was on a different layer, there would probably be a red karma portal at the normal basement
Have you visited 666 in Subverse?Sundex wrote:6 is the devil's number, but I don't think mateusz would take implementing religions to that extreme
Yeah. Same texture as the infernal basementVortex wrote:Symbolism is not a strong argument so I wouldn't give it much credibility, but I guess it could be.

Yay. We officially have another phenomenon that we will not figure out for a long time.Apocrypha wrote:I don't think there's any credible way to know what layer the infernal basement is in at this point.
That being said I 90% support the idea that it's an alternate layer to the regular basement.
It's normal for that to happen, we have limited information after all.Sundex wrote:Yay. We officially have another phenomenon that we will not figure out for a long time.
