I just finished watching Higurashi no naku koro ni. It was interesting, but it was perhaps the weirdest possible anime to try to hammer a "the power of friendship conquers all" message into, so much so that it got a bit annoying.

Recently Started on Attack on Titan.
Really interesting Concept, unlike other Fighting base Anime, this I can understand.
