Those "Sublayers" are Missile Silos.

There are more than were used.

And the question remains on how D6 secondary tunnels could reach them.
The Spiders Lair is my point.

The main black lines are the Metro 2 Lines. The thinner, brown ones are the secondary tram system for maintenance and repair the of the system that can't be reach via the main Metro 2 Line.

I got the idea from these little machines.
