Today we found out our caretaker had gone kamikaze on half of the trees.

Like the time they cut the trees lining the road separating my neighbourhood from the school.
So, why did they do that?

So, why did they do that?

Well, they recently installed a new astroturf (like on the tennis courts) over our outdoor concrete basketball/netball grounds.
A week after they finish and the grounds have been blessed by our tuhonga they go kamikaze on the trees, saying that the autumn leaves will cut into the turf and raze it to pieces. Maybe they're right, but it still sucks, especially because i like trees, we can talk in the shade of them and they make awesome bus shelters (10 metre high bus shelters )

Now they're asking permission from the council to chop down all the trees in a 10 metre radius of the turf.

Crap.
