So, riots broke out at UC Berkeley. Students "protesting" an event hosted by Milo Yiannopoulos dismantled crowd gates and threw them into ground-floor windows of the lecture building, shot firecrackers through windows in the top floor, toppled light posts, and punched/pepper-sprayed perceived Trump supporters/eventgoers.

And what does every headline covering the event say? "Trump threatens to take federal funding away from UC Berkeley as a result of protests". Which is true, but they weren't protests.
