But which group of people do you mean specifically?

If we are going with the first people who were already there, then you can technically say they "Lived", but more as they can merely "Be".

Or if you are referring to the people from earth who went to explore the Submachine, how do you not know they had to degrade or transform themselves so that they could survive the Submachine realm? And in the process of doing so they had to take away their "Hunger" and become like the first people in order to explore the Submachine.

Ok, here's last possible problem with translation:

Your application was considered positively

Does it mean "your job application was considered positively", or "your diligence was appreciated and took into account"?

It can be interpreted both ways.

Unless that whole phrase was fake, there are no requirements for continuing forward, and someone/something just said that to each player in hopes of luring them deeper into the Submachine...

I don't believe it was fake, as far as we know the player did woke up in the Lab in Sub5.
