No, the Basement could not have been a dream. In the intro to Sub 2 it stated "I don't remeber waking up froom that dream".

So at some point in Sub 2-8 the Player has already woke up, or has yet to do so.

The basement was in a DREAM. Any dimensions in dreams are illusions because they don't exist in real life.

Submachine is real, but I appreciate you trying to help me

There is a present of a Company. What if until now Liz and the Other has finally found the bridge that got them out of the Submachine. The name SUBMACHINE means something of a mechanical origins. And it has been said that the Submachine means Submerge machine!

Life in the SubNet is shifting as we know it. Before long, were back in that dreaded Basement!

Well that reference to the Company is a pretty ominous one, it is peculiar it has never been expanded upon. Maybe it indeed is behind all of this.

Well, there is that theory by Death (or was it Gem?), the "Murtaugh is the Company". It was voted as confirmed, not?

I don't remember, but probably. Murtaugh probably is in the company or the company, but it is a shame it hasn't been expanded upon at all. We're missing so much it hurts.

But still, what is the point of the Submachine. All we know the SubNet was created by a submerged machine. Meaning man-made.

Maybe it has to do with the AI computer mentioned in a note in Sub8.

Still, whats the point of the Submachine. I know Cube barely had a purposed, but that series is mostly over. Too much going on in this series.
