Yep.
About the statue, I'm thinking of doing a reverse google image search, in case I find something.

Oh yeah, those. Do we have a good explanation for those?

Well, you have read my theory about it
I'm also interested in other possible explanations. The concept did come a little by surprise, with no hints at all in previous games.

I did this but there were no results. I've done searches of statue holding "skull" "ball" "globe" haven't really found anything conclusive.
It could be based on a statue, but the rendering is absolutely different than what the inspiration is.

If you are talking about that one at I I I, where we find that ladder rung; I believe its Christopher Columbus.
The only difference Mateusz made was he is holding a skull instead of a globe. And his hat is more of a Mesopotamia origins.

It's possible, they look alike. Though the right hand is in a different position.

(from MAT thread)
I'm with Jatsko here, in that it won't be easy at all to discover where the statues come from, especially with the possibility that some of them may have no clear real life inspiration.
On the other hand, I see that we keep asking him many questions related to Submachine, Fog Fall and his other old games, when what Mateusz needs right now is to stay apart from his old stuff, as he's starting fresh and experimenting with new games and things to create, like he said in his wrap-up post. So I can understand why he's a little frustrated that we only show interest in Submachine things, instead of asking him about how the new game will be, etc. I believe we shouldn't bother him with "quick questions" for the moment, the right time will come.

But we don't have any idea of what Mateusz is planning to do, and what he said was a rough planning. But all that will be for 2017, this year is last 2 episodes of Mission to Solar System series, I wonder how Mission to Earth will be, I like to think it will be some kind of plataformer with different stages set in different part of the world, I would like to see that.

Well, my point is that he's kinda fed up with 10 years of Submachine, wants to move on for a while and we're reminding him of it every millisecond XD

That's an interesting idea, fusing 10 gnomes with a platformer, I'd like to play it

I don't know, there probably is an inspiration for most, except maybe the ones that correspond to Mur and Liz.
