1. Should you post the full description of what might constitute as "Fair use" or "copyright" for images? I want us to be careful about misusing images here and there.
I know what you mean. The legal US defenition of "fair use" is
17 U.S.C. § 107
Notwithstanding the provisions of sections 17 U.S.C. § 106 and 17 U.S.C. § 106A, the fair use of a copyrighted work, including such use by reproduction in copies or phonorecords or by any other means specified by that section, for purposes such as criticism, comment, news reporting, teaching (including multiple copies for classroom use), scholarship, or research, is not an infringement of copyright. In determining whether the use made of a work in any particular case is a fair use the factors to be considered shall include:
1.the purpose and character of the use, including whether such use is of a commercial nature or is for nonprofit educational purposes;
2.the nature of the copyrighted work;
3.the amount and substantiality of the portion used in relation to the copyrighted work as a whole; and
4.the effect of the use upon the potential market for or value of the copyrighted work.
The fact that a work is unpublished shall not itself bar a finding of fair use if such finding is made upon consideration of all the above factors.

(Long text, copy-paste to read)
We will only use the images to describe certain objects, phenomena and important events. Such as characters, the behavior of objects in the light void and the final seconds of the core scene in chap. 6.*
Would that be alright? If so, while it would be legally correct to upload them under "Fair use", your permission would be good to have. We'd anyway never use any images against your will, so there's no technical difference that I can see.

*Don't missunderstand that. We'd only put up separate images, not any sequences, entire scenes or anymore than you'd like. Basically in the way a tv-series wiki would use episode screenshots.

I was referring to the background. Thanks.

Not really. It was accidental, and just pasting in the new post would not update the thread's freshness. I tried that, but I suspected it was the reason there was no reponse.

"x" button should be somewhere around your post.
It's very small for some reason.
