Another question that's been raised, and thank you Bender for reminding me to discuss this, but what's with the suit where we find the dead explorer in the Sub7 section of Sub10? (Also, the captain's ship?)

Could it be that there is at least no air in Submachine, so the explorers wore pressurized suits? (And does that mean that the player has one too?)

It's possible. Maybe the player himself/herself also wears a suit.

We also know there must be some locations with air too. Plants can't grow without it, and ventilation fans wouldn't make sense without it.
