I don't know, I think Mateusz created the location when he was doing JIG, but what you are proposing is possible too.
Once all the locations Mateusz needs to put are put in...

Then come cipher plates and karmic water bowl...
I really hope we will get a cipher plate at some time in the future. Those cipher boxes have been there inactive for so long...

Anyone else notice? wrote: That red idol device on the table. IT MAKES A LAYER CHANGING SOUND EFFECT FROM SUB 8 AND 9!
WHAT IF THIS CHANGES THINGS BETWEEN COORDINATES?!
WHAT IF MAT SNUCK IN SOME NEW THINGS TO OLD LOCATIONS USING THAT?!
LIKE THERE COULD BE DIFFERENCES BETWEEN SAY 104-"WHITE" LAYER AND 104-"RED" LAYER, GOING BY THE LAYER IDOL COLORS!

WHAT DOES THIS ALL MEAN?!
Apologies for the 2nd part's caps.

Yep. I finally figured it out after I realized that I was playing the outdated version :P

Btw, in Jayisgames they've already found everything. Those people are smart o_o

EDIT: I didn't think of that possibility. But

Read what I just posted above yours. Then explain what you think?

Spoiler Response wrote:Yes. when you come back to 628 using the xyz-portal, if you left it in Red Layer, you come back to Red Layer. You levae it in White Layer, you come back to it in White Layer.

It's consistent.

spoiler wrote:that's what I thought, but barely anything changes from the white layer to the red one (speaking of the rest of locations). According to the Submachine notes, the Knot is the only place where the layers merge, right? then all of the subnet is inside the Knot?
another possibility is that the portal somehow "remembers" what layer he left from.

EDIT: I mean, according to my understanding of the game notes and Mateusz's posts, the layers are all distinct and contain completely different (but correlated) locations, as in Submachine 8. But in the Knot (Sub9) all layers are somewhat "merged" and that's why the navigator had few effect in Submachine 9. According to this, if we changed layers from white to red the portal should send us to a different batch of locations in the red layer, but it doesn't. So either my understanding of the layer mechanics or your proposal that we stay in the red layer after the switch (or both) must be wrong.

REPORT: 672 has the same music as the Inner DefSys Areas of Sub 6. I.E. the music when you use the connection pod and hack a machine. Potentially 672 - New Basement - is being fabricated by the DefSys or SubNet directly...somehow...

Still going down the coords list...

Also, Vortex,
Spoiler Response wrote:And the portal, as a result of being able to tell which layer the Player is on, performs some sort of Layer-based auto-correct on them based on their original layer; so that in all locations, layer is consistent except for when going to a location where layer was changed, when the portal changes the player's layer to what they were on when they left it.
Besides, the Knot is the Temple of Sub 9, and that area in general. The entire subnet cannot fit into one uni-layered area like that, because common sense of scale.

TL;DR: Latter possibility has some merit, on the grounds that the former cannot work.

Yeah, most likely 672 is a result of the expansion of the Subnet. We know basement-like locations are used by subbots (like 947).

About the spoiler, it's somewhat complicated but it's definitely possible.

REPORT: 947 - Gem Harvester Room
Has the same music as
051 - The Ouroboros Tunnel.

EDIT: Done exploring. Have on hand 3 wisdom gems (felt like having 3 at the end because main series has 3 gems) and the 1 spare stone block.
